Happy Thanksgiving 2014

THANK YOU.  Although, I like to live with gratitude all year long; it is this time of year that we have an opportunity to take a deeper reflection at the things we have to be thankful for in our lives.  It is the people around us that give more meaning to the life we live.  I am personally thankful for the many people that I have had the opportunity to serve.  I am also thankful for those people who have helped me to help others.  Thank YOU!  I also thank the various professionals around me that make up what I call my team.  Those people who have a particular specialty which allows me to do more, play more and have more in life.  I am so very thankful for the people I can call friends who have also helped me grow as a person.  Who have helped smooth the bumps, share in laughter and perhaps a meal or two.  Of course family.  It is family that keeps you on your toes, is there for at any time and often challenges you.  A special Thank You to Stephanie and all the kids who are all a blessing.  We can certainly choose who we spend our time with and as life goes on we find each tick on the clock more precious than the last.  I appreciate the time we have together.  Any journey one takes in life has its challenges.  As I look around me I am thrilled that YOU have been a part of that journey.  May YOU have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Taking action

You can plan and prepare and talk about it for weeks or months or years, but that’s never enough. Action is what will make it happen.
A verbal commitment is good and a written commitment can be powerful. Yet there is no true, effective, life-changing commitment until there is action.
When you take action, there is no guarantee of success. Yet when you do not take action, there absolutely is the guarantee of failure.
Act early, act often, act intelligently, act with persistence, and be willing to adjust your actions based on the results they bring. The only way to achieve the goal is to get in the game and make the effort.
Right now you have the time in this day. Fill it with effective, directed, focused, positive, purposeful action, and you’ll always be thankful you did.
Action will take you from here to there, from nothing to something, from dream to reality. Get up, get going, take action and make your reality the best you can envision.

A powerful first step in getting anything done is to assume you can do it. When you start by assuming you can do it, you don’t have to fight your doubts all the way there.
Even if you don’t know how to take the first step, assume that there’s a way. Assume you can do it, and you’ll find that way.
You are extremely good at solving difficult problems because you’ve done it all your life. You are very good at making things happen when you have a good enough reason to do so.
So make sure your objective is what you really, truly desire, and make the assumption that you can indeed reach it. With a meaningful purpose and a positive perspective, you’re already well on your way.
Instead of complaining that it’s too difficult or complicated or unfair, just get busy. Work under the powerful assumption that it’s possible for you, and it will be.
Dare to dream and dare to believe without a doubt that you can reach your dreams. Assume you can, and eventually, with effort and commitment, you will.

The same dynamic works for both the desirable and the undesirable possibilities. Whether you strongly fear or strongly desire, the power of your unrelenting attention will work to create whatever you focus upon.
Choose, then, to make your focus a positive one. Instead of living in fear of the bad stuff, live with a persistent desire and appreciation for the good stuff. When you run into barriers or resistance from others. Don’t let it stop you or change direction. Move forward despite the noise and be creative about solutions.
Be sincerely thankful for the goodness you already have, and your gratitude will create even more. Imagine in detail how your world can be a better place, and your time and energy will go toward making it so.
Not only does fear itself bring you down, it also enables you to bring yourself down. Avoid all that not by avoiding your fears, but by turning your attention to their positive alternatives.
Your attention has great power. Remember always to focus that power in a desirable direction.

A Day To Be Thankful

Every day is a day to be thankful. Life’s abundance has no limit, and gratitude is what keeps that abundance flowing.
In every circumstance there is something for which to be thankful. Even when there seems to be nothing else, there is hope.

Being truly thankful makes you infinitely more resourceful. By sincerely appreciating what you have, you find new and valuable ways to make use of it.
Gratitude makes you more generous and creative. By focusing on how fortunate you are, you’re able to give the best you can give.

When you are happy, be thankful and your happiness is greatly multiplied. When you are feeling down, be thankful and you’ll soon be feeling much better.
Whatever may come, see it as an opportunity to be sincerely thankful. And let life’s abundance flow more and more freely into all your world.

Keep Pushing Forward

When you feel like quitting, you’re actually closer than ever to getting through the barriers. Keep going, keep moving, keep working and finish the task.
When it seems that you’ve run out of ideas, you’re actually opening yourself to new, more workable, more powerful ideas. Keep going, move on past the discouragement, and let those new ideas flow. You do not have to sacrifice your dreams there is always a way.

Sure, you can think of plenty of reasons to stop short of the goal. You can even lower your expectations. Yet there are even better reasons to push yourself forward so the goal is reached.
When you feel overwhelmed it seems easier to throw away your goals and keep busy with the ones that are less stressful. Fill your time and avoid the ones that fill your heart.
If the work or situation has been difficult and challenging, or if your world has been turned upside down that’s certainly no reason to stop. In fact, that means you’ve got a whole lot invested in what you’re doing, so keep going and reap the rewards of that investment.

You already made the choice to get started, so choose right now to reaffirm your commitment. Keep up the good and valuable progress, and get the results you desire. You know deep in your heart what’s right. Face your dreams and live.
This is a great day to make real progress, so make the most of it. Keep going, keep pushing forward, and keep creating real, meaningful value in your world.

If you fear something with intensity and persistence, it will become real in your life. If you desire something with intensity and persistence, then what you desire will become real in your life.
When you focus your attention and your energy on something, it will grow stronger. So it is far better to focus your attention on what is positive and desirable.
Do you see the world in terms of your limitations? Then those limitations will indeed hold you back. Instead, relate to the world from a perspective of your best possibilities. And you’ll surely bring those possibilities to life.
That is not to suggest that you ignore the negative or pretend that it doesn’t exist. Acknowledge and accept reality, then direct your energy toward the positive possibilities.
Your attention will give power to whatever it is focused upon. Choose to focus it in a way that will move you positively forward.
