Resolution of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in a Patient Undergoing Corrective Chiropractic Care

Here is an example of cases that are showing up more frequently.
A 34-year-old male patient presented to the office. He had been diagnosed with OSA for 5 years and had symptoms many years prior to being diagnosed. This patient was unable to breathe at night while sleeping without the use of a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine. The patient also suffered from daytime drowsiness, lack of energy, and loud snoring.

The patient was initially evaluated for vertebral subluxations (misalignments of the spine), which were corrected by chiropractic adjustments. Dietary modifications were also implemented. After being under corrective chiropractic care and dietary modification for 3 months, the patient experienced an increase in energy, decreased daytime drowsiness, and improvement in other health conditions. He was also able to sleep throughout the night without the use of the CPAP machine.

Our office has helped hundreds over the years with conditions not usually associated with the spine. If you are not sleeping well or wake up during the night your body can get run down and it will affect your immune system as well as your emotional state. If you would like more information for a specific situation contact our office we are here to help.
